SLIP-FLOW HEAT TRANSFER IN A SEMI-INFINITE TUBE CONSIDERING THE EFFECT OF AXIAL CONDUCTION AND VISCOUS DISSIPATION
Краткое описание
The steady-state convective heat transfer for laminar, incompressible and rarefied gas flow in a semi-infinite tube has been investigated by the finite volume method. Both slip flow hydrodynamic condition and temperature jump thermal condition are considered at the wall. Also, viscous heating and stream wise conduction are included in the model. The dependence of Nusselt number on Knudsen number, Brinkman number and Peclet number have been studied in both thermal entrance region and fully-developed region. The effect of viscous dissipation is studied via Brinkman number. The numerical procedure adopted herewith may be extended to more involved cases (e.g. variable thermo-physical properties) in microscale heat transfer in various other geometries.
