Steady–state RANS simulations are performed for wall–bounded flows using low–Reynolds number TSB k−ε model in conjunction with EnhancedWall Functions [1]. The model coefficient for production of the dissipation rate of turbulent energy has been sensitised to the strain tensor invariant. The merits of the model are evaluated through comparison with the experimental data for a backward facing step as well as for two engine port–cylinder assemblies, representing non-swirling and swirling port flows. It has been demonstrated that the present model predicts these types of wall–bounded flows largely with good accuracy.
