Краткое описание

The regulation as regards consumption of water and liquid waste processing encourages the industrial sector to recycle most of rejection's water, while concentrating the dissolved matters for possible revalorizations. In this context, techniques of membrane separation such as tangential micro filtration and ultra filtration, find interesting applications in the field of the food industries, paper mill, pharmaceutical...etc.
In order to analyze the influence of adsorbent particles on the characteristics of filtration of protein solutions, three media are filtered on mineral membrane (Alumina − 0.2 mm): suspensions of active carbon, solution of β-lacto globulin (protein) 10mg/l concentration and mixture of these products. Moreover, the study of the adsorption kinetics leads to determine one isotherm. The comparison of steady fluxes, apparent rejection rates and hydraulic resistances highlights the existence of adsorbent-protein interactions which result in a decrease of permeability and in a slight increase of retention. Correlations are proposed to express the membrane permeation rate at steady rate.
The operating parameters are: cross flow velocity, hydraulic pressure difference, adsorbent concentrations and protein concentrations.
