Краткое описание

This paper presents the experimental data of heat transfer and friction augmentation of different configurations of the array of dimples for the Reynolds numbers Rex = 0.2·106 - 8.0·106 determined by the length of the boundary layer. Friction coefficient is determined by the direct method, the heat transfer coefficient is determined by the rate of cooling of the model's surface. Two-dimensional field of heat transfer intensification and variation of the friction and heat transfer coefficients with the Reynolds number were obtained for 18 dimpled surfaces. For these models maximum value of thermohydraulic efficiency (Reynolds analogy factor) slightly exceeds 1, wherein the average integral (by considering Reynolds numbers) heat transfer intensification value is about 1.2.
