Краткое описание

The present study focuses on the pulsatile round impinging jets. To enhance the impingement heat/mass transfer, a continual (steady) jet is combined with the synthetic (zero-net-mass-flux) jet. The resulting mixed pulsed jet has a significant non-zero blowing component: the ratio of the extrusion and suction mass fluxes at the actuator orifice exit is 3.1. Measurements of the flow field velocity and mass transfer on the wall (using flow visualization, hot-wire anemometry, and naphthalene sublimation technique) have been performed. The experiments demonstrate the anticipated heat/mass transfer enhancement caused by the coupling of the flow oscillation and the time-mean Reynolds number effects.
