Краткое описание

Of late years studies on heat transfer to cryogenic liquids in a rotating cryostat have gained increasing interest. The liquid and the cryostat rotate as a single unit. In this case the rotation is equivalent to the superposition of two force fields - the field of centrifugal forces and the Coriolis force field. The changes contributed by the centrifugal field lead to a variation in the force of gravity, pressure gradient and underheating of the liquid, i.e. in a variation in the state of the liquid and of the external field. The Coriolis force manifests itself in the presence of the radial component of the local velocity and affects only the hydrodynamic processes. The difficulty to theoretically study this effect a priori is evident.
