T1 Heat Transfer at Axisymmetric and Flat Surfaces with Protective Screens JF Heat Transfer Research JO HTR YR 1999 FD 1999-06-01 VO 30 IS 4-6 SP 220 OP 230 AB A new method of solving axisymmetric and plane equations of energy conservation in a turbulent boundary layer with a protective screen blown into the layer is proposed. The method is based on the generalized Reynolds analogy, whose consequence, as shown here, is the laws of heat transfer conservation, and on the law of friction conservation at the wall. Axisymmetric solutions are reduced to the known and approved solutions of the plane problem. This method is compared with the method of local modeling and is evaluated using the available experimental data.
