AB Paper deals with results of parasitological research of ichthyological collections of the Institute of Hydrobiology NAS of Ukraine (1989) in the Kakhovka Reservoir (the Dnieper River), where plerocercoids of cestode Ligula
pavlovskii Dubinina − the parasite of gobies of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov were revealed for the first time in the freshwater ecosystems of Ukraine. The host
fishes are monkey goby (Neogobius fluviatilis) and round goby (Neogobius melanostomus). The peculiarities of spatial distribution of infected fishes in the water area of the Kakhovka reservoir and regularities of invasion parameters by plerocercoids Ligula pavlovskii depending on the host species and size of the hosts are described.
