Effect of Corvitin on Secretory Processes and Blood Flow in the Rat Gastric Mucosa
Краткое описание
We studied the volume and biochemical components of gastric secretion in pylorus-ligated rats and the blood flow in the gastric mucosa of exposed to Corvitin rats in doses of 2.5 and 5 mg / kg, intragastrically. Biochemical analysis of gastric secretion was based on determining the flow rate of hydrochloric acid, concentrations of protein, hexosamines (per glucosamine) and cysteine. In control rats, hexosamines, gastric mucus indicators, and free amino acid cysteine, a powerful antioxidant, have been detected. Corvitin evoked an increase in concentration of these compounds in the gastric juice. However, it did not affect the gastric secretion parameters, such as pH, volume of gastric secretion, hydrochloric acid debit, the concentration of protein. It has been also shown that this drug increases the blood flow in the gastric mucosa in a dose-dependent manner. The results obtained give reason to believe that Corvitin can be considered as a tool to increase gastric mucosa protection mechanisms without affecting the secretion of hydrochloric acid and protein.
