Краткое описание

The problem of reducing the drag of axisymmetric noses consisting of surface friction and pressure drag has been studied. It is shown that in the range of high subsonic speeds, the characteristics of power-law bodies are close to optimal. To ensure an attached flow, it was proposed to modify the shape of optimal power-law bodies by setting a fixed curvature for smooth joining of the generatrix with the front end and the cylindrical part of the body. A comparison of the found bodies with known bodies made in the form of a Ryabushinsky semi-cavity has been carried out in terms of the integral and distributed aerodynamic characteristics. The relative drag reduction was up to 40%. The research was carried out within the framework of the Navier–Stokes equations in the range of the Mach numbers M = 0.7–0.98.
