NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF A PLANE EJECTOR WITH STREAMWISE DISPLACEMENT OF ACTIVE GAS NOZZLES

Numerical simulations based on the three-dimensional Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations are performed for a prospective gas ejector with streamwise displacement of active gas nozzles. The possibility of increasing the critical ejection factor and the maximum compression ratio due to streamwise displacement of the nozzles in the ejector is validated. The numerical results are found to agree well with experimental data. The gain in some ejector characteristics due to streamwise displacement of nozzles reached 20%−50%.
