An image analysis method in which particle trajectories are accumulated from video recordings of particles moving in two-phase flows is shown to be a versatile tool for studying these particle movements. As no filtering of individual frames is necessary, several frames per second may be included in the analysis and a final result may comprise particle movements in thousands of frames. The implementation of the method is relatively inexpensive and its demands for processing power are quite moderate.
