Basic Concepts of the Evaluation and the Development of Geothermal Resources

The principles of the strategy of exploitation of the heat energy of rocks are proposed. The basic stages of this strategy are distinguished and partially considered. These are the market propaganda of the new type of non-metallic mineral resources (the heat of the entrails of the earth); the evaluation and mapping of geothermal resources; the development of the technology and the determination of the technical-and-economic indices of the production and exploitation of the heat energy of rocks; and the development of the scientific design foundations and the accumulation of the experience of construction and operation of geothermal mining plants.
