On the Payback of the Costs for the Construction of Cogeneration Plants for District Heating

Краткое описание

The economic efficiency of the construction of building cogeneration plants in a system of district heating by equipping existing hot-water boilers with gas-turbine plants is analyzed. The efficiency criteria are the profit and the payback time for capital investment in electric-power-generating equipment. A heat scheme with additional burning of fuel in a waste-heat boiler furnace in the atmosphere of exhaust gases of a gas-turbine plant is shown to be economically favorable in comparison with a pure waste cogeneration scheme. The dependences of the payback time on the market prices for fuel, electric power, and equipment are analyzed, and an operation mode of a cogeneration plant is proposed with allowance made for a three-tariff period for electric power.
