Regularities of Changes of the Bioluminescence Field in the Black Sea Coastal Waters
Краткое описание
The changes of the vertical profile of the bioluminescence field intensity over night in the Black Sea coastal waters have been studied. It was shown that by bioluminescence dynamics the water column can be divided into two layers: the upper (0−35 m) and deep-water (35−60 m). The peculiarities of the processes in these layers were noted. It was revealed that the main cause of variability of the bioluminescence field intensity is the vital rhythms of the planktonic communities.
