SIMULATING ELEVATION ANGLE MEASUREMENTS OF LOW ALTITUDE TARGETS BY A MULTIFREQUENCY RADAR OPERATED IN THE OFF-AXIAL MODE
Краткое описание
The paper presents results of computer simulation of elevation angle measurements of low altitude targets over a rough sea, as performed by a triple-frequency monopulse radar operated in the off-axial measurement mode. The statistics of measurement errors have been studied in dependence on frequency diversity for a variety of sea roughness conditions and various phase differences between the 'direct' signal from the target and its specular reflection nu the interface. By increasing the number of operating frequencies of the monopulse radar from one to three it is possible to greatly reduce the errors of low-altitude elevation angle measurements in the case of off-axial operation.
