Diffusion Model of Extragalactic Radio Source Extended Components with Precessive Jet
Краткое описание
The nucleus − halo model is applied to the extended components of extragalactic radio sources (3C 47 type) with the precessive jet. The relativistic electron injection (acceleration) region is identified with the hot spot and moves in accordance with the model of precession, so that the radio lobe asymmetry in both longitudinal and transverse directions can be explained. In the diffusion approach with account for the synchrotron losses the lobe distributions of radiation intensity are found for different speeds of hot spot motion, precession parameters and angles of sight towards the source. The lobe size and asymmetry increase at lower frequencies and some features of its shape, including the presence of an old hot spot along with the more compact new one are explained.
