The aim of this work concerns the modelling of the radiative heat transfer in a fluidized bed solar receiver by Monte Carlo Method. We developed a code, which allows following the course of rays in the solid particles bed, as well as their scattering and absorption by these particles (photons) simulating their scattering and absorption, and also their depth of penetration. The code also allows to divide the fluidized bed in several coats and to determine the quantity of energy absorbed in every coat, as well as the quantity of energy lost by the top of the solar receiver and the reflection at the bottom. The optical properties of the particles calculated by the Mie code are used as “input” data for the Monte Carlo code. As a preliminary result, we present here the fluidized bed, which is considered 1D. The next step would be to treat the cylindrical geometry.
