The present work is a contribution to the study of the scalar dissipation rate of a turbulent axisymmetric turbulent variable density jet. It has been performed using the TEAM-k-ε code, with some modifications. The effect of density variations on the dynamic and the scalar field has been shown and the comparative study of the scalar dissipation rate revealed that the different models proposed in the literature are not universal.
