FRACTAL ANALYSIS OF PRESSURE CHANGES DURING GAS BUBBLE EMISSION
page 8
ABSTRACT
A fractal analysis has been applied to analyse the signal generated by gas bubbles emitted from the glass nozzles submerged in distilled water. An acoustic technique based on a hydrophone coupled with data acquisition system with PC audio card has been applied to record the signal. Results of investigations of time intervals between departing bubbles indicate that initially periodic changes become chaotic when the flow rate increases.
