Energy efficiency of household refrigerating appliances is receiving increasing attention. This paper is focused on a long term performance of household refrigerating appliances and on analysis of different influential parameters on energy consumption. On a long term performance energy consumption of household refrigerating appliancies is rising constantly. When determining energy consumption according to test procedures ISO 7371, ISO 15502, and operational code CECED, it could happen that refrigerator-freezer HTS 1356 passes over from A to B energy class in 12 months, as it happened in our case. A new test procedure would be needed to analyse a long term performance of household refrigerating appliances.
