ABSTRACT

A nonstationary problem on an axisymmetrical equilibrium homogenous flashing water outflow, e.g. in case of pipe rupture, is stated. Formulae accurate and suitable enough for calculations are suggested to approximate relations among medium state parameters. In a computer program Godunov's numerical algorithmic diagram has been used. A calculation is furnished as an illustration. Experiments have been carried out with flashing water outflow from a vessel through a 10 mm bore tube, which was being ruptured. The tube movement after the rupture was close to that obtained by calculation.
