ABSTRACT

Propagation of the rewetting front is dependent on the rewetting temperature and heat transfer coefficient distribution in the region of the propagating front. Therefore, it can be expected that modes of flooding must affect the rewetting process since the rewetting phenomena in a confined space is hydrodynamically dominated. In the present paper, an experimental study was carried out to show that the channel flow area has a definite effect on the precursory cooling and as a result on the rewetting phenomena in the confined space.
