ABSTRACT

In this study, numerical simulation was carried out to analyze the effect of wind on the extraction and smoke behavior in a naturally ventilated tunnel. A FDS program was in numerical simulations. For air flow simulations, LES turbulence model and mixture fraction combustion model are used. This study showed that, the wind velocity is increased from 0.4 m/s to 1.4 m/s. The maximum of temperature in the tunnel is found to be less for wind velocity of 0.4 m/s. When the wind velocity increased the temperature distribution was titled in the direction of velocity.
