RESUMO
An analytical model to predict the steady-state water side thermal-hydraulic parameters for the furnace of the once-through forced flow power boilers at subcritical pressure is proposed. The model predicts, at a given heat flux distribution, the pressure drops, the flow-rate distribution in the tube-banks, and the boiling crisis in the ribbed and in the commercially rough tubes of the furnace panels. A set of the model predicted pressure drops shows a fairly good agreement between the calculated and the experimental operative conditions values .
