An analysis of the evolution of a moderate-amplitude wave allowed one to reduce the set of equations to the single wave equation. The model suggested describes qualitatively the "combs" of pressure pulses arising in the experiment. For the stratified-bubble structure the "stratified" dispersion predominates over the "bubble" one. An investigation of wave dynamics in heated channels with void fraction gradients showed the difference in the character of wave evolution for bubble and stratified structures. %8 2002-06-01
