The work is the extension of investigations into the process of interaction of turbulent jets with complex-shape surfaces and the search for the means of controlling heat transfer. Experiments were conducted for a fixed geometry of a hemispherical cavity (Dc = 46 mm) and variation of the twisting parameters (R = 0; 0.58; 1.0; 2.74). The distance between an axisymmetric nozzle and a barrier was equal to 2−10 nozzle diameters, with the Reynolds number varying in the range Re0 = (1−6)·104. It has been established that with increase in twisting, the heat transfer intensity decreases due to the fast mixing of the jet with the environment. On the whole, the picture of the interaction of a twisted jet with a concave surface is complex and involves many factors. %8 2010-08-16
