T1 Effect of Different Concentrations of Cadmium Bromide on Physicochemical Properties of Hemolymph in Planorbarius purpura (Mollusca: Pulmonata: Bulinidae) JF Hydrobiological Journal JO HYD YR 2006 FD 2006-05-25 VO 42 IS 2 SP 79 OP 86 AB Effects of the trematode invasion (infection) and solution of cadmium bromide (1, 5, and 10 mg/dm3); on physicochemical properties of hemolymph (volume, hemoglobin availability per unit of the total body mass and soft body mass, and active reaction) of Planorbarius purpura were studied. At 5 mg/dm3 of the toxicant in uninfected individuals and at 1 mg/dm3 in infected by trematodes individuals, a statistically significant increase of hemolymph volume was registered (there was no such increase at 10 mg/dm3). At all toxic mediums used in the experiments, an active reaction of hemolymph has shifted to the acidic side. In a solution with 1 mg/dm3 of toxicant the hemoglobin provision per unit of the total body mass and soft body mass is statistically increased in both invasion-free individuals and individuals infected by trematodes.
