Radioecology of the fresh waters as scientific field was developed on the basis of the experimental investigations of the ionizing irradiation on the aquatic organisms and activity and behavior of the artificial radionuclides, which enter the hydrosphere owing to the nuclear weapon tests and development of the nuclear energetics. The scientific and technical progress to the great extent is provided by the nuclear technologies, which are widely used in the energetics, military industry, medicine and various fields of researches. Among the priority tasks of the aquatic radioecology are processes of the natural and technogeneous radionuclides' distribution and migration in the biotic and abiotic components of the aquatic ecosystems, forming of the ionizing irradiation doses in the ecological niches, radio-effects in the biological systems of different structural and functional levels, control of radiation risks in the vital activity of the living world.
