The heat flux magnitude was 0.82 MW/m2, that is nearly 40% more than the corresponding one a solid surface. This discrepancy may result from the instability of the melt-steam interface leading to the increase of interface area due to the penetration of melt particles into the water layer and water drops-into the melt layer. These phenomena were observed in the experiments. The development of a Kelvin-Helmholtz instability was confirmed by analysis of the process parameters. %8 1999-11-30
