The governing partial differential equations in the boundary layer are transformed into ordinary differential equations. Effect of assisting and opposing flow regimes is represented by λ and equations are solved by approximate analytical solution called the Homotopy Analysis Method. Comparison between analytical and numerical solutions shows an excellent agreement. The results also indicate that the Homotopy Analysis Method can provide us with a convenient way to control and adjust the convergence region. Finally the effects of various parameters on the fluid flow and heat transfer characteristics are investigated.
