RESUMO
Comparative efficiency of several methods for controlling the algal fouling of Laurencia papilosa (Forsk.) Grev. were studied and assessed. These methods include drying of the thalli and their periodical submersion into the concentrated solution of nutrients. Simultaneously, we studied the response and behavior of the basic culture under the given conditions of cultivation. The highest development of laurencia was observed in experiments with periodical submersion of its thalli in the nutrient solution. These methods also proved effective in fouling control of the basic culture.
