Autoresonance Processes under Interaction of Solitary Waves with the External Fields

RESUMO

Dynamics of the solitary wave (a soliton) is considered in the case of its interaction with the external fields within the scope of the forced version of the Korteweg-de Vries equation. The first-order asymptotic equations for amplitude and phase of the soliton interacting with an isolated disturbance are obtained. The phase plane of the asymptotic system is constructed and the conditions of the soliton trapping by the external field are presented. The soliton dynamics in the field of unsteadily moving disturbance is discussed.
