PLANE H-POLARIZED ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVE SCATTERING BY INFINITE DIHEDRAL WEDGE CO-AXIALLY COUPLED WITH SLOTTED CYLINDER

RESUMO

Scattering of a plane H-polarized electromagnetic wave is considered for a composite structure consisting of a perfectly conducting and infinitely extended dihedral wedge that is co-axially coupled with a longitudinally-slotted cylinder. The solution in rigorous form is reduced to a system of linear algebraic equations of second kind with respect to the unknown coefficients of Fourier expansions of the scattered field. The solution is obtained in analytical form in case of the equal opening angles of both slot and wedge. The computation results for the field in the far-field region are presented to the prescribed accuracy. It is also shown that in case of a narrow wedge and narrow cylinder slot-width, the structure backscatter cross-section reveals a sharp increase for some values of electrical diameters of cylinder. The scattered field radiation patterns are computed for various values of structure parameters.
