EFFECTS OF MASS TRANSFER ON PROPAGATION OF DISTURBANCES IN A HYPERSONIC FLOW OVER THE WING WITH POINT OF INFLECTION OF A LEADING EDGE

RESUMO

The flow in a three-dimensional laminar boundary layer on a thin wing with a point of inflection of the leading edge is investigated in the case of strong viscous−inviscid interaction. The propagation of induced pressure disturbances is considered on the basis of the analysis of characteristic surfaces. Numerical solutions to the equations of the boundary layer on thin semi-infinite wings in a hypersonic flow of a viscous gas are found. The velocities of propagation of disturbances at different mass transfer rates on the wing surface, different temperature factors, and leading-edge sweep angles are determined.
