NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF SUPERSONIC FLOW OVER LONG CAVITIES

RESUMO
Supersonic turbulent viscous gas flow over a plane rectangular cavity is simulated numerically. The flow structure is investigated in ranges of Mach numbers from 1.5 to 4 and ratios of the cavity length to its depth from 1 to 20. Boundaries of the pulsating regime and the cavity critical length of closing are defined.
