RESUMO
In this paper, the liquid crystal thermography technique is used to study the heat transfer characteristics of a laminar separation bubble developing along a heated flat plate. The experiments are carried out in a water tunnel at a freestream velocity of 0.08, 0.09, 0.1, and 0.15 m·s−1, respectively. From this experiment, a visual impression of the thermal footprint of the laminar separation bubble is obtained, the distribution of the heat transfer rate across the bubble is acquired and its location and size are also obtained.
