INVESTIGATING SCANNING CAPACITIES OF TWO MULTIBEAM DRAGONIAN MIRROR ANTENNAS

RESUMO

The calculation results of two multibeam mirror antennas (MMAs), built on two types of non-classical offset parabolic mirror antennas with concave hyperbolic reflectors, are presented. Both investigated MMAs have a circular aperture with the diameter of 100 wavelengths. The directional patterns and the aperture efficiencies at different beam angles in two planes are determined to define scanning capacities. The cross polarization characteristics are investigated. The scanning capacities of the two analyzed MMAs are compared in possible versions of the radiating system elements.
