RESUMO

The paper presents the results of an experimental-numerical analysis of the interaction between a high-velocity heterogeneous flow and bodies protected by various composite materials (carbon-carbon, glass-fibre-reinforced plastic, etc.).
A physical model is proposed which allows us to arrive at a main idea concerning the effect of the external gas flow conditions on the behavior of composite materials.
