Low Frequency Capillary Effect and Mechanism of Heat Transfer in Boiling

RESUMO

Experimental results of the effect of vibration on the height of liquid rise in glass capillaries are presented. Vibrational effect on liquid was attained by rigid cylindrical vibration inductors having an internal resonating cavity. It is found that under the conditions of low-frequency vibrations an abnormally high level of liquid rise in a capillary, i.e., the low-frequency capillary effect, is observed whose presence leads to the change in the local and integral characteristics of the process of boiling.
