Modeling of Filtration Combustion in a Porous Medium with Spatially Nonhomogeneous Characteristics

RESUMO

The present work formulates conservation equations for the case of spatially nonhomogeneous porosity of the solid skeleton. It describes in detail the models of heat and mass transfer and chemical kinetics that accounts for both gas-phase and heterogeneous thermochemical processes. A new generalized volume-averaged model of filtration combustion with spatially nonhomogeneous and time-variable parameters of porous medium is presented. Software for numerical implementation of the indicated model of filtration combustion has been developed. The software is a further development of the available software 2DBurner designed for solving the problems of filtration combustion of gases.
