Institute of Hydrobiology, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Kiev, Ukraine RESUMOEcological and sanitary state of the river section of the Kanev Reservoir subjected to the influence of anthropic load of Kiev was assessed in terms of microphytobenthos communities. The worst state of the aquatic ecosystem was registered in the central part of the city and in the estuary of the discharge canal of the Bortnichi Station of Aeration.
