RESUMO
The taxonomic composition of meyobenthos and the quantitative characteristics of its development were studied in the Danube River lakes outside of the littoral zone in summer 2006. In all the lakes, Nematoda dominated in terms of their numbers, whereas mainly Amphipoda and Oligochaeta − in terms of their biomass.
