RESUMO

The taxonomic composition of the communities of cultivated heterotrophic bacteria from the areas of water of the Sea of Japan (the Primorskiy Kray, Russian Federation) differing in the intensity of anthropogenic load has been investigated. It has been shown that in the bacterial communities occurring in the bays constantly subjected to contamination by industrial and household sewage the contribution of facultative pathogenic microorganisms is rather high, whereas the groups of microorganisms typical to clean sections are absent. The interpretation of results in terms of amylolytic and proteolytic activity of bacteria in studies of ecological and trophic structure of microbial communities proved to be inefficient.
