Biochemical Indicators of Processes of the Protein Synthesis and Retention in Hydrobionts (a Review)

S. A. Shcherban'
Institute of Biology of Southern Seas National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine

Review of the literature sources is presented regarding biochemical indication of the hydrobionts' growth rate assessment using the main indicative parameters (total RNA content, protein content, RNA/DNA index) and additional (RNA/protein, RNA/dry mass, protein/dry mass) under natural conditions and in experiment. The main aspects of application of these parameters in hydrobiological practice are proposed.
