Dynamics of 137Cs Concentration Factor in Benthos-Phagous Fishes of Water Bodies Differing in the Degree of Their Radioactive Contamination

RESUMO

Dynamics of 137Cs concentration factor in benthos-phagous fishes were studied in 1987-2003. Its values ranged from 190 to 3200. Various species of fishes differed in the dynamics of 137Cs concentration factor. The studied water bodies differed in the content of 137Cs by a factor of 10000. Valid relationship between the specific activity of 137Cs in the water and 137Cs concentration factor in benthos-phagous fishes was not established. Water bodies similar in their origin were closely similar in the concentration factor of 137Cs registered in their fishes.
