RESUMO
One of the problems of hydrobotany as relatively young developing scientific discipline is "different interpretations of concepts and terms" [36]. This also applies to "the life form" − the most important concept of ecology, which characterizes habitually expressed system of an organism's adaptation to environment, and in addition to that − community's structure and degree of its impact on environment. The paper gives meanings of the main terms (as interpreted by the authors, who proposed them), associated with concept of the life form in plants.
