Nitrate Reductase Activity of Macrophytes under Anthropogenic Pollution

RESUMO

The nitrate reductase activity was determined in 13 species of macrophytes. The level of this enzymatic activity may be used in conditional assessment of the contribution of these plants to the transformation of nitrate nitrogen. Direct correlation was found between nitrate reductase activity and the content of nitrate nitrogen in water.
