STATISTICAL MEASURES FOR COMPUTATION OF THE IMAGE RELEVANCE OF VISUAL OBJECTS IN THE STRUCTURAL IMAGE CLASSIFICATION METHODS
RESUMO
The problem of classification in the space of features of the descriptors of special image points with representation of the image description in the cluster form is solved by means of applying statistical measures for computing the relevance of the images. The efficiency of application of the statistical and metric classifiers at determining of the level of relevance is analyzed. Comparison of the properties and characteristics of the relevance measures is performed on the basis of the computational examples. Particularities of using the Renyi divergence as one of the effective measures in the classification problem are studied. The efficiency of suggested statistical measures for classification in the application image databases is confirmed.
