RESUMO

Influence of pillar diameter on the frequency band of 2−D photonic crystal waveguide have been investigated. The results obtained show that the pas band and its boundaries change with variation of the diameter of pillars. It is also shown that changing in diameter certain of pillars in the photonic crystal waveguide structure may be used to design the filters with various frequency characteristics.
